You can read this article instead of reading allot of older posts.

Everything these days is technology-driven. Everything is impacted by technology. The eReader is no different. It is a hand held electronic device used to display eBooks. It is the shorthand for the eBook reader. Usually, such devices are optimized to reduce eye strain. This is done by using special displays and/or modes which replicate reading a real book or newspaper. There are several advantages of using eReaders. A search for eReader review on the Web will confirm the same.

One of the major advantages of the eReader is its cost. The cheap book cost is truly advantageous. Moreover, the reader can have a number of books at his disposal anywhere he goes. What’s more, the reader can change the font size as well. Some of the popular eReaders available in the market include Sony PRS-505, Kindle 2, jetbook, etc. After going through the eReader review, you will better understand the strengths and advantages of eReaders. You can know more about it on the eReader blog. It is a well known fact that technology has revolutionized our lives. Thanks to eReaders with e-ink technology- traditional readers have a better option. Incidentally, Kindle was the first eReader to dominate sales. Other brands that have surfaced recently include Ectaco jetBook, Irex Digital Reader and Bookeen Cybook opus. eReading is definitely catching up.

eReading decision is a positive decision. It is likely to benefit you. You will not have to strain your eyes and you can read
Continue reading Week in review

So you’ve finally decided to go through with it and buy an eReader! Well that’s great, but just like every other electronic there’s competition. But just like every competition there are the brands that come out on top. So in today’s article we will be finding an eReader for you from the selection of Sony’s PRS series, the Kindle and Barnes and Noble’s Nook.

I should say, Nook has had a lot of criticism over its bad launch with buggy firmware. But firmware 1.2 looks to have fixed most user’s issues. To me, buying the Nook over the Kindle I would need to have a Barnes & Noble near by, just to take advantage of in store deals on the Nook. I prefer the Kindle(2 mind you) over the Nook preferably other than that.

What do you want your eReader to be able to do? The PRS-300 is great for travel because of its pocket fitting design, PRS-505 is better for memory but is a little bigger, but that also means more screen space. Sony is also good when it comes to customization, like color! Why haven’t we seen this introduced to the Kindle? Sony also accepts a wider format range for you’re eBooks, which is something to really consider (and to look into if the eBook store you are planning to buy from) But generally Sony accepts everything, and everything I’ve thrown at it so far. Also, Sony comes with page numbers(no kidding, but c’mon Kindle why don’t you have such a simple but needed feature)

If
Continue reading It’s all about finding the eReader for you

Sometime last week, after what seemed like forever from purchase to arrival. my eReader finally came in the mail, I was excited, and I knew what to expect. The Sony PRS-505 is a sturdy well built electronic, I could say I feel safe about dropping it (even though I wont!) and the leather cover that It came gave it a much classier book feeling.

Navigation is extremely easy, from the main menu you can choose to, Continue reading, Select books by title, author, date, or any collections you have made using Sony readers PC/Mac software. Bookmarking your page is extremely easy, with just the push of a button the current page you are reading is bookmarked, but don’t feel you need to bookmark where you left off, because the PRS-505 remembers where you left of reading, so when you turn off your Reader at that page, the next time you turn it on guess where you will be, that’s right, right on that page. Or if you navigated away from there it will still remember where you left off reading in all of your books.

The 505 comes with enough memory, so if your intending on putting all of your favorite songs I wouldn’t recommend it. Syncing is more than simple, its a matter of dragging and dropping like most software nowadays. Audio quality is more than superb so if you want to put some of your favorite songs, its more than worth it to do so. Controlling what your playing is simple, with volume
Continue reading Sony PRS-505 Review

If you have been a frustrated user of the Kindle, you will find Kindle 2 to be highly surprising. Kindle 2 is a highly refined version of the previous Kindle. You will not have to compromise with the jarring looks of the previous version of Kindle anymore. Kindle 2 indicates that a considerable amount of time has been spent in re-designing the device to a more approachable feel. You will not have to worry about accidental switching of previous and next page issue anymore which was a major draw back of the previous version of Kindle.

The Kindle 2 comes with a very clean and ergonomic design. This will remind you of an iPhone but of little larger dimensions. The layout of the keyboard too has been refined for a more familiar feel. However the keys have been made small while the shape of the keys has been changed from rectangular to round buttons. The next and previous buttons are made less sensitive and this will save you from a lot of frustration. Moreover, it does not take up the entire side of Kindle 2 like it was in the previous version.

In Kindle 2 you will no longer find the slider control this has been now replaced with a rocker button. You will be able to engage in easy navigation within the test. On one count this helps easy navigation within the text but this has however lost the user friendliness of the navigation within the menu. You will not be able
Continue reading Kindle 2 Review!

Throughout history, technology has improved all walks of life from first borns, to death beds. Everything nowadays is effected by technology. But only recently have books been effected, and for what seemed like an eternity there was no quality electronics for books. The eReaders that were out didn’t use e-Ink technology because it wasn’t around, so eReaders were forced to use a backlit LCD screen and if you’ve read anything longer then a page on a LCD screen you would agree you wouldn’t want to do that again, the eye strain is unbearable and obviously not good for you. But this all changed when eReaders with e-ink technology hit the shelves. Kindle was the first eReader to dominate sales, doing so gave hope to the eReader economy and as items brand they become more and more popular. Such as the Sony Reader series (Prs), and the Kindle. Both are very big names in today’s eReader standards and for good reasons.

Since then more brands of eReader electronics have started to surface such as the Ectaco jetBook, Irex Digital Reader and Bookeen Cybook opus. But still many traditional readers don’t see the need to switch and why should they? Of course nothing, and I mean nothing beats that new book smell and the average of $250 per eReader seems a bit nasty, but step back and look how you will save money. Bestsellers are only $9.99 on the Kindle store and Sony reader library (although that looks like its soon to change because of recent contract
Continue reading To eRead or not to eRead, that is the question.
